You are a farmer in Western Massachusetts and have been so your entire life. Your farm was given to you and your family when your parents died many years ago. On the other hand, you have an established customer base that is available to purchase your fruits, vegetables and grains. Out West, your crops may be successful, but you would need to build a customer base. When new settlers move there, they will need food that you can supply.
